New wind turbine

Just came across this on facebook. I'm not sure how new it actually is but from looking at the video I have to say it looks like a maintenance nightmare at the very least and just plain dangerous  in severe winds. Wonder if it's quiet, Probably not the way it is wobbling all over in the video.

Watching that thing gyrate almost violently, and the resulting tower flex -  just doesn't give me a lot of confidence in terms of longevity. I'm hoping it is satirical...........

It's so ridiculous you'd think so. It looks to me like an engineering  project gone horribly wrong.

The way it flexes that pole, metal fatigue comes to mind,  followed by law suit, looks ridiculously over complicated, if anything it might get a spot in a TV series, like A 1000 ways to die, who knows.

They have been "fine tuning" the Saphonian Wind Turbine for 5 years now.
Still, no independent labs tests supporting their claim of exceeding Betz Law.
They also claim, their Wind Turbine is 2X more efficient than existing wind turbines.
This scam will persist as long as they can get new suckers to invest in their so-called "research".

This David Wolf guy has a lot of these questionable RE products on his website. I just had to post this one because I thought it was so amazing. I can't believe anybody capable of designing it would put that much effort into such a ridiculous design.

This is a joke?   I like the way the blurb at the end says that it "could" be the future of wind energy.   Yeah, right.   "Could" here is a euphemism for "I would like to think it may possibly, but it almost certainly won't . . ."

It reminds me of that old B/W footage of that weird spiral helicopter/plane thing bouncing up and down as it tries in vain to take off.   Wonderful!
