Your wire sizes are good however your battery will only give you about 1.3 hours to 50 % depth of discharge, recommend.
300W÷220V= 1.37A
1.37A × 20 = 27.4A DC
40 Ah ÷ 27.4A= 1.45 hours
accounting for losses round out to 1.3 hours.
What are your loads?
Question about wire sizing

Hello. I have a quick question on wire sizing. Here is what my setup looks like.
100w solar panel -> 10 feet of 10 guage wire -> 20amp charge controller -> 2 feet of 10 guage wire -> 12v 80 amp hour battery -> 2 feet of 8 gauge wire -> 600w inverter (220v) -> 20 feet of 14 gauge wire -> appliances
Load is about 300 watts.
I am not in the US, rather in a country with no electricity but uses 220v as its standard.
Are the wire sizes correct between each piece of the system and will they be safe?

Not going to answer, not a US code person but supply these details and it will alow someone to give you an answer sooner, the size of your inverter and load, see you're online now.1500W, 6× Schutten 250W Poly panels , Schneider MPPT 60 150 CC, Schneider SW 2524 inverter, 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Battery Bodyguard BMS
Second system 1890W 3 × 300W No name brand poly, 3×330 Sunsolar Poly panels, Morningstar TS 60 PWM controller, no name 2000W inverter 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Daly BMS, used for water pumping and day time air conditioning.

Battery size useful too, to give an idea if all your system is ballanced.1500W, 6× Schutten 250W Poly panels , Schneider MPPT 60 150 CC, Schneider SW 2524 inverter, 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Battery Bodyguard BMS

Just added load and inverter and battery. Thanks!

Your wire sizes are good, battery will only give you around 1.3 hours use to 50% depth of discharge, recommend.
300W ÷ 220V=1.37A ac
1.37A ac × 20= 27.4A DC
40Ah÷27.4A=1.45 hours
Rounded out to 1.3 for losses in battery and inverter. What sort of load? You may consider lowering, 12 to 220 is a killer.

220v inverter is all I can find in my country
Its an 80 amp hour battery, not 40 by the way.
The load is charging 2 laptops every other day and charging 2 phones everyday. So its not really 300w continuous everyday. -
The reason 40 Ah is used is that you don't want to use more than 50% of the capacity DOD ( depth of discharge ) if you deplete more than that, the life of the battery will be significantly reduced, it's a rule of thumb so to speak. Charging during sunlight hours is the best then you could use 12V led lights, I run a small secondary system about the same size and run 12V LED strip lights for 5 hours every night. Where are you located?1500W, 6× Schutten 250W Poly panels , Schneider MPPT 60 150 CC, Schneider SW 2524 inverter, 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Battery Bodyguard BMS

For increased safety ... A fuse near the battery (+) is advisable and keep a rubber cover over the negative terminal.
