Is there any reason not to use ANL type fuses on a power inverter?

My inverter is a 2000 watt samlex pure sine on a 12 volt LiFePO4 60 and 27 ah with a 50 amp recharge. So I can really only run it at full power for up to a half hour, but only plan to use it intermittently at about 1500 watts up to 5 minutes at a time.

I was going to run the 60ah battery on a 250 amp fuse and have the option to piggy back on my 27ah battery with a smaller 175 amp ANL fuse.

The 60ah battery has 1gauge THHN wire going to the inverter and the 27ah battery uses 2 gauge.

Solar hybrid gasoline generator, 7kw gas, 180 watts of solar, Morningstar 15 amp MPPT, group 31 AGM, 900 watt kisae inverter.

Solar roof top GMC suburban, a normal 3/4 ton suburban with 180 watts of panels on the roof and 10 amp genasun MPPT, 2000w samlex pure sine wave inverter, 12v gast and ARB air compressors.

ANL fuses should be OK (provided they are UL/NRTL listed by a reputable manufacture). 32 volt max, 6,000 AIC.

From looking at the trip curves, I would not use the 125% (1/80%) NEC derating factor with these fuses. If you want 100 Amp rated circuit, use a 100 Amp ANL fuse... Not a 125 Amp fuse/breaker that we would normally use for NEC rated stuff.

Yeah the sound guys said these fuses were pretty slow to pop.

I guess I will standardize on these.

A 250 to 300 amp fuse for the winch, a 250 + 175 amp for the samlex to give some cushion for the inrush current. If I am using the samlex on the 60ah battery by its self using the just a 200 amp fuse starting the skill saw could push the fuse real close to or into the trip curve. The inverter with both batteries dumping power into it should be in no danger of fusing under normal operations.

I found something kind of interesting, ANL fuse holders with a built in volt meter. That would be perfect for my portable winch setup.

The internal fuse in Prosine 1000 and 1800 are Littlefuse Mega's which I believe are the same class of fuses, they are available through auto parts stores.

Home system 4000 watt (Evergreen) array standing, with 2 Midnite Classic Lites,  Midnite E-panel, Magnum MS4024, Prosine 1800(now backup) and Exeltech 1100(former backup...lol), 660 ah 24v Forklift battery(now 10 years old). Off grid for 20 years (if I include 8 months on a bicycle).
    - Assorted other systems, pieces and to many panels in the closet to not do more projects.

Just search on ebay or amazon for "ANL fuse holder voltmeter".

There are only 2 on ebay so if you want em you better get them.

I got my ANL voltage reading fuse holder and it looks pretty neat. Going to try it out this weekend.

The mini ANL fuses I think go up to 250 amps and the big ANL fuses go up to 500 amps I think.

I am going to use the mini ANL fuses for continuous loads up to 75 amps or so and intermittent loads of 150.

The big ANL fuses I am going to use with much larger wire for more continuous loads up to 200 amps.
