I'm considering putting one of their EX22 LP units into my offgrid Texas home. I would appreciate any information from users as to how many watts these units use in actual operation. Thanks.

I purchased, but never installed a "Warm Morning" unit, I had an optional fan, but non-electric, direct vent through the wall. I think there is an old thread, but it might be 5-6 years old now.
Home system 4000 watt (Evergreen) array standing, with 2 Midnite Classic Lites,  Midnite E-panel, Magnum MS4024, Prosine 1800(now backup) and Exeltech 1100(former backup...lol), 660 ah 24v Forklift battery(now 10 years old). Off grid for 20 years (if I include 8 months on a bicycle).
    - Assorted other systems, pieces and to many panels in the closet to not do more projects.

The Rennai uses a squirell-cage motor to operate... perhaps 30-50 watts continous... Check out the HOUSEWARMER brand of direct-vent heaters, they use NO electricity at all... 0 watts... and a blower is OPTIONAL...
    ~1.5Kw PV in parallel
Morningstar MPPT-60 controllers (2) in parallel
    3 Trojan tr-1275's in parallel 450ah total
Samlex 2,000 watt 12-volt inverter hardwired
