2 systems to decide from

Hello again. I have been looking and deciding between different items and brought it up through this forum a couple of times and with help with another member here. I kinda narrowed it down to 2 systems. 1 is a 12 volt and other is 24 volt. I will be using it about 4 hours a day at 500 watts per hour. The batteries are 12 volt 27m series. I live in a Trailer Park and have a Metal Roof. I cant put anything into the ground and I DO NOT WANT TO DRILL HOLES IN ROOF. Here is what i decide so far
12 volt system

Re: 2 systems to decide from
Well you have a couple problems with the 24 volt system, The inverter spec'd is a 12 volt inverter, and the panels have a VMP of 33, which might be a little low to run 3 in parallel for a 24 volt system, and you can't run them 2 in series, you could run them 3 in series, but you increase the waste a bit....Home system 4000 watt (Evergreen) array standing, with 2 Midnite Classic Lites, Midnite E-panel, Magnum MS4024, Prosine 1800(now backup) and Exeltech 1100(former backup...lol), 660 ah 24v Forklift battery(now 10 years old). Off grid for 20 years (if I include 8 months on a bicycle).
- Assorted other systems, pieces and to many panels in the closet to not do more projects. -

Didnt see that that about the inverter being only 12v. However just found this http://www.amazon.com/Go-Power-GP-SW1000-24-1000-Watt-Inverter/dp/B00153BE10/ref=sr_1_20?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1412634667&sr=1-201460 Watts Solar @24v. 675 AH Battery Bank using 12 6v Trojan T-105. 1 Midnite Classic 150. 1500 Watt 24v Samlex Pure Sine Inverter -
Re: 2 systems to decide from
Of those options, I'd go either 12V or 24V (depending on distance between panels and CC) and buy:
--4 Renogy 100W panels (the other panels are amorphous, which is less than ideal)
--Midnite Kid charge controller (of the two, the Kid is vastly superior)
--Inverter, the Xantrex looks good for 12V, for 24V I'd consider a Samlex, though I have no experience with them
Type 27 battery as far as I can tell is a Marine/RV type, 105 Ah each? How many? If you haven't already bought them, I would avoid these and get true deep cycle batteries.
For mounting, I put my panels on a small cargo trailer, in which live the batteries, controller, inverter, generator, etc. That way I take my little solar electric system with me when I move.
