Solar Panel + electric vehicle. What is best APS plan? - noobie

Hi,

We are getting the electric vehicle rate in Arizona and just put in solar panels.

It looks like we have to choose between epr-2 and epr-6.

Any advice?

    I find one of the TOU plans and EPR6 work OK for me.

    You want EPR-6 (kwh credits) for sure - not EPR-2 (dollar credits)
    The thing about the electric car rate plan is that it has cheap rates just for a short time in the middle of the night, whereas the regular ET-2 time-of-use rate is cheap (well not quite as cheap) all the way from 7pm to noon (and all 24 hours on weekends and holidays). Also, if your solar is capable of producing at least 95% of your power, you are better off with the standard E-12 rate as it has half the service fee ($9) as the other plans.
