Fork Lift traction batteries

The heavy traction batteries for fork lifts seem to be a good value for both capacity and life expectancy. There must be a downside. What might be the problems with something like a 12-85-13 traction battery for RE use (24v 804 AH and about 1100 lbs)

There is nothing wrong with them if you can deal with the size and weight. They are a bit hard to charge with the sun hours available most places. Being a tall case they need a long charge at high current to keep the sg's even and not stratify. They don't have a lot of extra water capacity and need watering often. They can last a long time if you care for them.

It's possible to get them split into two 12 volt batteries at about 600 pounds each, that makes them little easier to handle.

I was thinking about 2 12v units to make moving them easier. Thanks all for info
