    "Torque it or maybe cause a fire if you don't", and "torque it and forget it"! Those were sayings taught in the apprenticeship program I went through years ago. But that was because of that nasty aluminum wiring. But it still applies to copper.

    Yes.....because over-tight is just as bad as under-tight.  I have smashed #12 copper to where it breaks off at the connection....not good.
