Any need?

I plan on wiring my 45 amp charge controller and a power max 35 amp charger to a buss bar before going to my battery bank. My question is, do I need any fuse or breaker in between the buss bar and the battery bank? I plan on a disconnect between the solar panels and the charge controller and the power max charger will run directly off a inverter generator.

Always nice to have a fuse at the battery, any mistake and while wiring and you could arc the capacity of your battery across what ever shorts across the wiring, think heating filliment.

To be honest, I don't but I have a breaker about 4 feet away, still gives potential for problem in my 'power center, where I have 2 ends of 0000 cable coming in, so I've decided when I move the battery I'll add a fuse at the battery terminal.
Home system 4000 watt (Evergreen) array standing, with 2 Midnite Classic Lites,  Midnite E-panel, Magnum MS4024, Prosine 1800(now backup) and Exeltech 1100(former backup...lol), 660 ah 24v Forklift battery(now 10 years old). Off grid for 20 years (if I include 8 months on a bicycle).
    - Assorted other systems, pieces and to many panels in the closet to not do more projects.
