Hello dears
Iam trying figurout what my friend needs to buy to pump water up on the roof of his house (25ft).
What technique you suggest ?
What pump he should use to be economical and as well efficient and upgradable (this is community house) so he can get additional water storage in the future.
for now it needs to be pumped 1000l but in future can be even 10,000
I like one thread where "backroad" describes his system without batteries, ohhh if I don't have to use batteries that will be awesome
Can you suggest pump ?
I hope that he join to the discusion and can answer on more specific questions.
Generaly water is by the house and needs be bringing up.
Looks like we buy enough solar panels controler and pump and we can be super green
Best wishes to all of you
Daniel

Re: simple water pumping
Where is the water now ? In a deep well ? Shallow well ? surface water ?
That is the first pump question.
2nd is how clean is the water, clear, or silty ? Silt will wear out the pump faster.
Sunlight for how many hours ( where is this location ) will limit how much you can pump. Even a small pump, at 5 gallons an hour, after a few days, will have moved a lot of water. What about the overflow, is there a pipe to direct it away from the house ?
3rd question - how high up is the rooftop tank ? And will the roof support the weight ?
