Re: solar one batteries
ws,
In googling about, looks like Northwest Energy Storage has the following address:
1116 S. McCall Rd. Suite 121 Englewood, FL. 34223. USA
They may have dealers. You should try their phone number, listed at the bottom of this page:

One neighbor has a 48 volt bank of them, that was installed about two years ago. I almost never see him, but have not heard any crying either.
Had considered Solar One batteries six years ago, but ordered Surrettes instead.
The promise of being able to cycle the bank to 20% SOC two thousand times sounds good. They seem to have a great warranty, and appear to be price competitive with Surrettes of similar size.
But, in reality, I know nothing about them, other than what I read. VuxOff Grid - Two systems -- 4 SW+ 5548 Inverters, Surrette 4KS25 1280 AH X2@48V, 11.1 KW STC PV, 4X MidNite Classic 150 w/ WBjrs, Beta KID on S-530s, MX-60s, MN Bkrs/Boxes. 25 KVA Polyphase Kubota diesel, Honda Eu6500isa, Eu3000is-es, Eu2000, Eu1000 gensets. Thanks Wind-Sun for this great Forum. -

Read the fine print in the warranty coverage. Requirements about minimum charge current, monthly (or weekly?) logging of the SG..... Just so you know in advance.Powerfab top of pole PV mount | Listeroid 6/1 w/st5 gen head | XW6048 inverter/chgr | Iota 48V/15A charger | Morningstar 60A MPPT | 48V, 800A NiFe Battery (in series)| 15, Evergreen 205w "12V" PV array on pole | Midnight ePanel | Grundfos 10 SO5-9 with 3 wire Franklin Electric motor (1/2hp 240V 1ph ) on a timer for 3 hr noontime run - Runs off PV ||

Re: solar one batteries
Hi mike,
Yes, you are correct about the parameters of the warranty. Did not look recently, but they seem to pick the nit. Altho, it would be very bad for a bank to sit near 20%SOC for days on end while a feeble array tries to recharge it. Think that this is the main reason for the min recharge capability. And, of course frequent monitoring of the SGs is a great thing to do. FLA have a real advantage in being to directly read the SG, and often some remedial action needs to be taken when cells begin idverging, as you well know. Waiting months to notice is also hard on a bank. Monitoring each battery's voltage during Bulk seems to be a very good indication of differential SG, which is quick and the user can monitor the SG on batteries/cells with low SG.
It is quite possibel if S1 enforces the strict SG monitoring provision (I do not recall weekly checking), then it would allow them to get out of amy claims.
