Okay, it took me two weeks to install the solar system and write this webpage

Take a look and let me know what you think. The mounting of the equipment in the cupboard is still incomplete, but it functions.

    Is that a Plasmatronics charge controller I see on the wall ? Also
    looks like you're in Australia so that would kinda make sense then.:D

    good job and nice site. i did have troubles viewing it with the dark background, but my monitor is slowly going south on me making things appear darker than they are. brightness is at 100% btw. i guess it's time to throw more money away as i've got to buy another monitor.:cry:

    Niel...
    I just got a 19" widescreen LCD monitor for $130 from Best Buy. They don't fade as easy. Might burn out, but should stay sharp.

    I don't like having to pay recycle fees to get rid of those old CRTs, so
    what I do is to "donate" them somewhere where they can still be used
    as long as they work good enough.;)

    Yep Plasmatronics PL20

    I'm going to get an Outback MX60 (or similar) while the money is flowing so that I'm not restricted to the 20 amps of the PL20. I like the idea of being flexible with the input voltage so that I can initially keep a 12volt battery system then later go to 24v as the demand arises, meaning I can make use of my 12v inverters for longer.

    Ah the joys! :) Pitty is been over cast and raining the last two days. Now I need 4 times as many panels. Hmmm. Better than spending money on a sports car I figure.

    thanks for telling me as i'll have to check it out. hmmm, could you tell me the make and model as i'm not seeing it on the website. also did you buy it online or at the store?

    noting that more are devoting time to this sidetrack as i see mike also posting on this, please pm me as i don't want to sidetrack this thread too much.

    Very impressive, and going from nothing to complete in 2 weeks is almost unbelieveable.

    If you are so inclined, it would be great to put up costs, material lists, even mechanical drawings if you have them, as a resource for anyone else who might want to do the same...

    Yes and I am very new to solar and pretty much just lerking and learning b4 anything but I would also like to know how long it lasts (hours) and what exactly you are poiwering. just the inverter, router, and modem. or what else
