If you feel the base is secure and the panels can be joined safely AND the additional hight won't leverage the lower panel off, its ok with me.  ( What state do you drive in ? )

  Some charge controllers have a voltage controlled Load output. For a small 15w load, I would use the controller's Load outputs, which will preserve your battery from going too low

  Get a simple electric AC 120V fan, plug it into your house, and listen for noise/vibration, then compare to being plugged into the Jackery. If nosier, the jackery is mod sine.
