If you feel the base is secure and the panels can be joined safely AND the additional hight won't leverage the lower panel off, its ok with me.  ( What state do you drive in ? )

  It's going to be a long wait. They failed for several technical reasons, and the inherent cause was the batteries are not very good for consumer use.

  Does your guest house currently have grid power ? Anything you take OFF-GRID will cost you at least 5x as much as grid power
