Re: Trouble shooting 9+ year old system...
Testing the strings at the terminal when not connected to the system will give you the VOC (Voltage Open Circuit) This will typically be 120% - 125% of VMP (Voltage under load); You can do the math …1 · -
Re: CO solar, panel angle, charge rate
So what you are seeing is the system voltage. NOT the battery voltage. The system voltage will vary with the state of the system. If charging, if you are using flooded lead acid batteries, you are l…1 · -
Re: Is my battery bank dead from sitting idle for a year?
Likely dead, but you should give it a try to rejuvenate them... Most charge controllers won't try to charge a battery that is that low. I suggest putting them on a dumb charger, individually on somet…1 · -
Re: CO solar, panel angle, charge rate
Tall case Rolls batteries? I got no problem taking them down to 20% SOC, when you have to! A properly designed system should only have you there on a rare occasion.1 · -
Re: Classic 150 Charge controller to 48v bank # of panels max in wattage i can have installed
There is no setup for 10 panels that works, not sure how you are plugging them into the tool. Due to your VMP and VOC only strings of 3 panels works. The voltage doesn't reach the 30% above working …1 ·
