Re: series or parallel configuration
You will need them to be in series so that the MTTP charge controller can work properly, They need about 30% above the charging voltage to work properly. 24v batteries charge at around 29 volts.1 · -
Re: 300 watt solar panels and 600ah battery bank only lasting one day?
6 - 12 volt? You are quite a bit under paneled, most manufactures want at least a 10% charge rate, you have about 225/14= 16 amps available to charge a 600 amp bank or about 16/600= 2.6% charge rate.…1 · -
Re: Pwm vs mppt amps
If your charge controller says you are getting 21.89 amps from the array when you have a load, but only 16 amps when you are just charging, then it's not a problem of available current/amps. The batt…1 · -
Re: Pwm vs mppt amps
Trick question? 16 amps... If you are getting more amps when running a load the batteries are limiting the input.1 · -
Re: Series panels
Who said it was a bad idea? I guess in truth I would prefer to see the voltage coming in at about double the system voltage. but it's possible to build a system like this. I find most of them over pr…1 ·
