Re: 1990 Westfalia - 2 Batteries, 3 charging sources (Alternator, Solar PV & Bat Tender)
As a general proposition, there is no problem having multiple charging sources connected to a battery (or bank). The charging sources aren't sync'd though, so (eg) the pv charge controller may "…2 · -
Re: Battery Combiner for 2 mixed 48v banks?
One possible concern is different initial specific gravity of electrolyte. Manufacturers may use different strength acid depending on plate alloy, balance of capacity vs longevity, etc. If different,…1 · -
Re: Charge Controller(MPPT) Monitoring
I think you'd need a controller with 3 separate inputs (I'm not aware of any), or three separate controllers. Alternatively, relatve performance shouldn't change much, so you could check each panel o…2 · -
Re: PV to Inverter fuses & or breakers
Negative typically isn't fused (assuming negative ground system). Some charge controllers (eg Midnite classic) have GFP built in. If not, between the pv breaker and the charge controller I think.1 · -
Re: Connecting Bayite 6.5 multimeter
If I understand the question properly, it depends what you want to measure. Putting a shunt on the controller to battery wire will let you measure charge controller output. Putting a shunt on the com…1 ·
