Battery Charging
I have 6v 225 AH AGM batteries and due to a heat wave we're experiencing I put an air conditioner in the room with the batteries since the highest temperature recorded there was 36C! The weather has been peculiar, hot but overcast so today is the first day that I'm able to run the battery ac for any length of time. My panels are 10.86 kw, and right now it's generating between 5.8 - 6.03 kwh, and we're consuming about 5 kwh right now (three acs plus a 3/4 hp pump in addition to regular household load). Before I turned on the third ac, we were consuming about 3.5 kwh and the battery voltage was at 54V for a long time. Before the addition of the ac in the battery room, at 5 - 6 kwh, the batteries would reach the maximum voltage in a very short time with 2 acs, the pump and the regular household load but that was at a battery room temperature of 30C or more.
Are the batteries charging more slowly because of the reduced temperature (batteries are now at 26C?
