I am experimenting at the moment,and my setup is a 20 watt polycrystalline panel,10 amp PWM Charge Controller,12 volt 86 Ah battery.

    This is a hobby system, adding battey's and loads will do little except kill the battery's as your limited by the amount of enegry 160 watts of solar panels can charge , Thats not much energy. With a PWM controller, you should have the panels parallel

    Thanks Guppy,just trying to find out if i can use existing setup with the new panels,i'm still on a budget,but my eye is on the future here regarding loads and battery banks,at the moment i'm still trying to prioritise what needs to be bought first or in what order,i'm aware of conserving power where possible but would like to increase capability for emergencies,:D
