Where can I get a Solar Analysis report

My city has this as one of its requirements:
Shading Analysis Report (Solar Pathfinder or equivalent technology)

What equivalent technology is available? Do I need to rent this (Solar Pathfinder) or pay a "solar guy" to make a report for me?

    Buy the hardware and software so you can do it. I suspect you are trying to qualify for a state or federal rebate and this is needed? I would hire a local professional if it where me.

    Keep in mind DIY=no warranty. Mine came with a 5yr warranty from the installer.
