what is that VAWT that they showed on This Old House today..1/3/2009
I think its on an island off of Nantucket. It has the full spiral composite blades...??
anyone know???

    i too would be very interested to know who makes that. i haven't been able to find anything on the internet. do you think contacting the show producers would yield anything?

    Might it be a Pacwind?

    I didn't see the show you mentioned but the in second season of "Living with Ed" there was an episode where Ed Begley Jr. had a Pacwind VAWT installed. In a later episode, Jay Leno had one of the larger versions installed.

    Here is a page (voting on "beautiful wind turbine designs) with a couple VAWT with spiral blades. Is it one of those designs?

    if my memory serves me correctly-it was a pole and on top of it the actual wind turbine was in the general shape of a bullet. the blades were in a spiral orientation.
