Downloading SOC Data from Insight Cloud / Local

Trying to understand the monitoring functionality present in Insight Cloud / Insight Local and it's a bit baffling.

To see how the system balances PV gain / State of Charge / versus loads I need to be able to download a log of battery state of charge over time. This doesn't seem possible.

You'd think one could simply do a download to .csv of all the logged data in memory or data within a date range. However there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.

Insight Cloud reports on closed loop State of Charge for the AES Rackmount batteries but only for the current day (shows plots of SOC versus time) but there is no download functionality and no way to set a date range other than current day or compare to another day.

Insight Local has the device "Performance" sections where you can download to .csv hourly for one day, daily for one month and monthly for one year for devices such as an XWPro or from the Charge controllers.

However for devices such as the AES Discover Batteries connected via XANbus through the Lynk II interface, Insight Local has no Performance tab with history data logged. You can see instantaneous SOC but that's all unless I'm missing something. There is no SOC download functionality.

Any ideas on how to continuously log/monitor SOC remotely using Insight? It seems one would have to write website scraping code of some sort and get it to access Insight Cloud each day to collect that days SOC data somehow.

This is how I have done this for clients in the cloud. It is not "continuous" but not that hard to get close.

You have to pick the device and the time period. The 1st shot is the download of the data for the month of July. I downloaded battery performance that is highlighted at the bottom. In the 2nd shot You can pick the week, month, year, or custom. This screen shows highlighted what I picked.

This charting just shows the Soc the system hit for the day. There is much more you can do if you spend some time learning Insight. The release notes will tell you what is on the list for later. Some of these items will probably not get done as they have been on the list since I did the offgrid field test on Insight 5 years ago.
