Can I wire a pair of Morningstar Suresine 300 12v Classic inverters in parallel for 600w output?

I have a couple of these laying around, sort of just want to throw them into a small portable system for fun.

can I safely do this? Do they need to be synched somehow?

thanks in advance

As far as I know (again, not in the solar business, I have never seen most of these inverters), unless you see "paralleling" of AC inverters in the specifications (and usually an interconnect/sync cable)--I do not believe that you can parallel the Suresine 300 inverters.

It is kind of interesting to me--You can get generators (Honda euxxxx family, and other inverter-gensets) that can be paralleled just by connecting two gensets together in parallel. Why no AC inverter with "simple" parallel operation?

I have not seen any detailed electrical/electronic explanation of how the generators "parallel" their output (I.e., set voltage, frequency, phasing, load sharing).

The dream can become a personel experiment if you wish.
But if connected in parrallel you would probably let the magic smoke out of the inverters. The smoke can never be replaced, so the inverters would be a total loss $$$. LOL
