I am having some challenges with a Schneider sw4048. I shut it down to do some maintenance and now it refuses to fully power up. It would turn on the enable led and then throw a fault. Clearing fault doesn’t work and simply lights again. I tried resetting using the clear fault button that doesn’t work either. The SCP doesn’t power up so I ant see the fault.

I copied and pasted a problem someone else seems to be having, I am having the same problem
I did see that the quested had been answered but I may have missed seeing it. Anyone have an answer for this Fault that won't clear, I did see that if I held the clear fault button down for a long time it would show lights on the Input side along with the fault light on and in the inverter light on
Any help would be appreciated

The SCP not powering is a real good clue. The CSW supplies network power (12V) to run the SCP. If that circuitry is in a bad state you will not be able to go farther.

Standard troubleshooting is to remove all DC power for 5 minutes. Make sure the DC terminals on CSW are at zero volts DC, (turn off solar if you have it).

If that does not work, leave the unit without DC and try the next day. This step is where prayer comes in. Surge protection usually helps also along with prayer. 😉  GOOD LUCK !

    Thank you for the response
I replaced the unit with a new SW4024 and everything worked like it should. I have the old unit at my shop and was hoping to repair it, I took it apart so to speak check for loose connectors or hot spots but found nothing, the thing that bugs me is that the Inverter Green Light is on, and the error light is on, but no A/C output when turning the disconnect off and then on you usually hear a tone that tells you the Inverter is powering up but that does not happen I may order the board and see what happens.

Please post where you get the PCB?  Typically Schneider replaces CSW in warranty as it is not like XW which is field repairable. Even those days of field repair are getting rare. Aftermarket repair places cannibal parts or have. I only know one who is left and they often say you ship it to us, no guarantees.

Buyer beware on Ebay. Lot's of bad press there on used PCB's.

You do have SPD's on AC and DC lines right! Look up Latent damage from Surge.
