Schneider XW+ 6848 Removing External Transfer Switch

I have 2 schneider xw+ 6848 inverters with generator power backup and 5 evault max batteries with 18kw of pv array coming in on 3 100 600 charge controllers. Currently it's set up with external bypass transfer relay so that either the generator power goes directly to load as well as to the inverter chargers or when the generator is stopped then the load goes off the inverter (batteries). Wondering if that external transfer relay can be removed and feed generator power directly into the inverters and let the inverters do the transfer to reduce power switchover time as the lights still flicker a bit when the power switches with the external contactor. My friend has a solark inverter and the way i understand it's set up so that when the generator goes then all the power still goes through the inverter with no need to transfer the power. Just wondering if the schneider has the same capability and which settings would need to be changed. The reason that there is an external contactor is because it was needed for the old system. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. BTW it's a 20kw generator. Thanks

So, rewire the system. You will need to read the manuals, learn how to do it, and have electrical skill. Hire someone who has experience.

Probably the external contactor has a higher current capacity than the internal inverter relays - be careful not to exceed the rated current

Do any settings in the inverter have to be changed if the generator power goes directly into the inverter?

Impossible to say as I do not know what/how it is configured. These are complex systems and I also do not know your skill level. If you read the Installation Manual you will be more informed. Since it is a dual XW you need to read the multiunit manuals.

Who installed this please? Are you running Connext Insight?

I installed the whole system myself but just don't understand some of those advanced settings so that's why I'm wondering if something needs to be changed if the generator power goes directly through inverter instead of just bypassing directly into the system.  And yes i have the insight facility hooked up to my system.  Thanks for getting back to me. I understand your concern about my skill level. That's why I'm posting on here so i don't blow anything off the wall with some wrong settings

Find attached a rough drawing of my system. Should you require any further details feel free to ask. Thanks again for any and all advice

Looks like need more info. The unknown value of the transfer relay and the known value of a dual XW+
transfer are issues. Right now the external transfer is taking the load as is the internal XW relays for charging.

I am past my general advice for the forum. If you want to have me go farther and look at your settings on insight cloud I will bill you an hour. You can email me below or maybe someone else will chime in.
    Good Luck!
