Convert PWM to MPPT

Hello,

I have a 3KW Hybrid Inverter which has a PWM charge controller which has a max PV input of 30V. My solar panels have 40V output, is there a way that I can use the panels with the Inverter? Can I use an external MPPT charge controller and connect to a battery bank and at the same time connect the Inverter to the batteries?

Thanks,

Can you give us a Brand/model number/link to your "all in one" inverter/charger device?

What kind of batteries (Flooded cell lead acid, AGM, Lithium, "smart" Lithium, etc.).

In general, yes, you can add a MPPT (or other) charger directly to the battery bank. The solar charge controller will manage the state of charge of the battery bank just fine (within the capabilities of your solar power and loads).

If this is a highly integrated software/remote display/etc. system--A second charge controller may reduce the "integrated data display" information.
