In general, most solar charge controllers need the solar array Vmp-array to be a higher voltage than the battery bank charging voltage (MPPT controllers are typically "buck mode" or voltage dropping type switching power supplies).

The only "purpose designed and built" "boost type" solar charge controllers I am aware of is the GenaSun brand:

If you want to charge a 100 AH battery pack from zero to 100% SoC in five hours of full sun (array tilted towards sun, summer in most locations
    • 100 AH * 58 volts charging * 1/0.77 panel+controller derarings * 1/5 hours of full sun per day = 1,506 Watt array minimum

You do have >5 hours of sun per day (flat panel to roof)--Except for "winter".
