Amp Hour Setting

My battery bank is coming to 6 years old. Should I be lowering the amp hour setting I have input into the system components? What I have input is the brand new battery bank amp hours. I assume by this point of use it must be 30-40% less. I use Schneider equipment.

I am also curious what is the effect of inputting the amp hours to how the system charges the batteries? In terms of how the inverter & solar charge controller will adjust their output based on the user input amp hours.

Thanks.

If there is a bat mon you can tweak it a bit. If not, lowering the amp hours programmed is how you increase absorb time in a Schneider system as you probably know.  It goes to float at 2% of what you program.  A 2000ah hour system goes to float at  40ADC. Use guidance from the battery manufacturer.
