I just want to introduce myself to the forum. I have just about enough knowledge of solar power to burn my house to ground so I am looking forward to gaining a lot of knowledge and suggestions from you long-term folks. It seems like a great forum.

    Welcome to the forum SurfMonkey.

Solar power is a game of details... Highly suggest doing paper designs first (before purchasing any hardware) based on your energy needs (knowing the Watts/WH of your loads, battery based system, or Grid Tied only)... And even before this, doing lots of conservation first.

It is always cheaper to conserve energy than to generate it.

Once you have designed and sized your system to meet your needs... Then picking hardware and working out the installation details is next.
