42 seer mini split 0.75 ton (9000btu) for $2880

I can't believe how efficient air to air  heat pumps/ac have gotten. 42 seer is more than most geothermal pumps.

of course for the price one can get a unit 3x more powerfull for about the same price.

calculator to show how much energy you save only goes up to 30 SEER, lol.  unfortunately looks like it would take about 20 years to break even on the better efficiency unit.

    That is great. Nice that it is Carrier also. While cost is always a factor, for offgrid it sometimes does not matter as it is more about doing the job than costing out over the years. Cool! Thanx!
