Inverter problem

Hi. We just arrived at our off grid cottage and the inverter powers on fine, but only one outlet is working.
The PowerBright 2000 watt 24 volt pure sine inverter runs a single line through our cottage with all 5 room lights and the outlet at the end of the line (TV) off it, but only the TV is working and a lamp off the same socket. Last weekend I cleaned out a squirrels nest from the battery closet and disconnected the negative cable by accident. The inverter beeped three times before shutting off.
It will run a light plugged in at the unit and the TV at the other end but nothing inbetween. Any ideas?
Thanks
Ed

Assuming the lights are switched, I'd look at the switch wiring first. If the AC output is live on the inverter, the battery/inverter system isn't likely the problem.

Do you have ground fault outlets or circuit breakers anywhere in the AC power system?

Well, the inverter wasnt the problem. Squirrels chewed a wire. Replaced the line with armour cable, all good
    Squirrels are bad this year.
    Thanks for the help

Some insulation for wire is petroleum based, some is plant based starch.

We have a pet rabbit, some wire he munches on like candy, others he will not touch.

Watch your cars outside, many get their wiring harness eaten.

At least one car company makes rodent proofing tape. Works or not?

Not a good idea if you have birds of prey in the area.

2.1 Kw Suntech 175 mono, Classic 200, Trace SW 4024 ( 15 years old  but brand new out of sealed factory box Jan. 2015), Bogart Tri-metric,  460 Ah. 24 volt LiFePo4 battery bank. Plenty of Baja Sea of Cortez sunshine.

This year only caught one mouse in the cabin, and heard very few squirrels. Seeing lots of eagles though, so +1 on the not using poison idea.
