    Is the tabbing in the module itself the weak link when it comes to overcurrent issues? It looks to me to be a lot lighter than the cables themselves.

    2.1 Kw Suntech 175 mono, Classic 200, Trace SW 4024 ( 15 years old  but brand new out of sealed factory box Jan. 2015), Bogart Tri-metric,  460 Ah. 24 volt LiFePo4 battery bank. Plenty of Baja Sea of Cortez sunshine.

    I don't know--But it seems possible. Also the bypass diodes are another weak spot (undersized, poor to non-existent heat-sinking, in my opinion).

    Here's a couple pics of burnt tabbing. Presumably not from an overcurrent issue but from Kyocera's lead free solder problem.
