Should I add an array and cc or upgrade to 48v and go to the 5000w range on one cc or add two arrays at24v maxed out at 80a one east one west.we have to load limit now not a big deal but solar is cheap and is a 1200a 24v bank ok? Forklift maybe. And i have a 40' shipping container could i weld a fixed array mount to it?

I'd consider going to 48v if expanding. Your signature lists a MSW inverter, which isn't ideal for running reefers and other inductive loads, so an upgrade to a 48v pure sine wave inverter might not be a bad idea.

I use the msw for microwave and charging i have a samlex psw but I bought the magnum first from bad advice. I have the arc remote so. I thought about a pae magnum but thier charge profile lags more desirable traits. If i switch i want all the same componets, anyone use the magnum mppt cc?

I use a MSW on my boat (also bought on poor advice some years ago), mainly to power a small microwave. I find the output to be 30-40% lower with the inverter compared to shore power.

Mine pulls 85 amps but the mocrowave is huge and was free. I have 6 kids the oldest is preteen. I feel like my loads will increse as each child grows. I would like a 2kw per day per person so 16 kw a day total.the plan is to build my house this year. So ive learned that this is stressful. But its 15g for power lines and im the last one here, all neighbors have power but are jealous of no bill, problem is they want solar now and its hard to tell someone its a waste of money of they have power, just conserve and drop the bill to 50$ a month. They think im crazy. Because i bought solar and wont recommend off grid or grid tie.in my situation i think its best to spend cash on the long term best option even if it cost double,

16 kWH per day... The rule of thumb 2 days storage and 50% max discharge:
    • 16,000 * 1/0.85 inverter eff * 2 days * 1/0.50 max discharge * 1/48 volts = 1,587 AH @ 48 volts
If you ever plan to go that large, 48 volts is where you want to be.

     I was 35 g plus a 300 foot under ground to the house .
I've been building for the past 3 years .
Im getting ready to power the house in the next few weeks .

Probably 15g just for batteries, and maybe the same again for panels, etc.

Power cost 28$ a month to hook up and 10-20c a kw ive lived like that i think for now ill panel up and i defffently would go fork lift and can get a 1600 amp for 7000$ delivered and 12320 watts of panels for $4100.00 delivered just made in 2010 with less warranty from manafacture add a new outback setup two controllers and a 48v inverter to my 250epanel i have for 3500$ so under 15000$ even if i build my own mounts.

Have kids 50% ask the difference of grid to off grid power they say the grid goes down a lot
