How to charge battery bank using charger

I'm getting an IOTA DLS55 electric charger this afternoon and need advice on how to hook it up to my 12 volt solar battery bank.
I was going to connect it to the inverter end of the batteries and leave the charge controller and everything else connected.
Is this the right way?
Will the charger damage my charge controller?
Thanks

The right way, assuming you don't have buss bars for battery connections, is to put the charger cable directly on the battery +/- posts, then the charge controller and inverter. All should have appropriate fuses/breakers on the + cables.
Off-grid.
