Air-ex 400 testing from ground

I've had my 400 for 8 years and it's worked perfectly, very pleased with it. We had a severe wind storm a week ago and I fear the control board, or some other component, has fried. It happened in the middle of the night and it wasn't shut off. Is there a way to run any tests from the ground? I disconnected it from my battery bank and checked voltage with 10-20 mph winds, I get anywhere from 1.2 to 1.8V, not right. Can I do a resistance check and what should a good reading be?

A 3 year warranty, you did pretty good at 8.
I take it your model does not have the air brake? Resistance checking won't do you any good as you already know the output is FUBAR.
Call Sunforce (maybe in business) and see what they can do. We had the Marine version for a few years on the sailboat but got tired of hearing it.

Thanks for the input Dave. I upgraded the vanes to 6, it's right outside our bedroom and I can't hear it until it starts to whine at high speed. I couldn't get to the switch quick enough to shut it down, that's what cooked the board I think. I e-mailed Primus http://www.primuswindpower.com/wind-power-products/air-30-turbine-2/ they support the Air x, I'll see what they say but I'm pretty sure the board it toast. I tell ya, I'd buy another one if I could get a good price. We're off grid here and I would use it as an addition to our sun room. I've got a 12V freezer, ceiling fan, fountain, etc.
