Hooking two low amp charge controllers in parrallel to be able to handle the amps?

This may be a weird question.

If I have 40 amps of solar panels, can I hook let's say two 20 amp cheap china made charge controllers parallel on the solar panel terminals of both charge controllers and then to the solar panels so those two charge controllers can handle the incoming amps from the solar panels? And then hook both outputs/ battery terminals together and then hook it up to one battery bank.

This is just a question right now since it is not wired this way, but I just thought about it if this would actually work.

    It won't work.  Each charge controller needs its own array.  Can you split your panels into two arrays?

    The two controllers should get along just fine if they are both charging the same battery.

    I almost thought it can not be done, but I was hoping it would be possible.

    Yes I can split the array, just have to rewire a little bit. No problem doing it though.
    Each controller will be loaded about a 60% of the max data amp input.
