Inverter 3 amp fuse/breaker

I have a 300w morningstar inverter that requires a 3 amp AC fuse/breaker on the load side of the inverter. All I can find are DC breakers. Where am I going wrong on this? Thanks in advance!

I am not sure why they have an AC fuse/breaker on the output. The inverter is capable of 600 Watts for 10 minutes and a 3 amp fuse is way too small--
    • 600 Watts * 1/110 Volts * 1.25 NEC wiring/Breaker deratings = 6.8 amp "recommended by me" wiring+fuse/breaker minimum rating
Personally, I would not even bother to install one. The AC inverter will turn off way faster in response to an overload than any standard fuse/breaker.

    Your choice.

Yes AC side breakers with inverters are more of a formality. They can be used to isolate the sub circuits is about all. Inverters are inherently current limiting... unfortunately. Would be quite cool if they delivered thousands of amps oaccionally but alas....
