i am wiring my house and want a seperate electrial system for my
solar.should i stay with AC and use an inverter or go DC and stay 12
volts.looking at a long term outage.thanks

If your house is larger than your car, I suggest that you stick with inverter and AC wiring.

You really need to define how much power you need (peak watts, average watts, Watt*hours per day, etc.)...
But as vtMaps says--You are probably better off using a 120 VAC inverter to send power around the house--Unless you have a specific need (like a HAM radio, and a small DC refrigerator/freezer in the garage).
