After noticing. That turning off my power strips when not in use, unplugging my 220v stove and only using 110v hot plate, reducing my (well) water usage, a b d calling APS. To report - meter not reducing my KWHs- my USAGE KWHS are increasing. HELP PLEASE. I am monotoring start usage and end usage. Does aps increase meter usage to cover losses from mother nature ?

I watched my aps meter and after 2 hours of watering the aps meter showed 18 kwhs usage. Suggestions?

You might want to look at a whole house monitor like this one:

You can get ones with several current transformers to put on different branch circuits and figure out what is using most of your power.
And, quickly, you can use a simple Current Clamp Meter (like this one from Sears) to measure AC and DC current... Measure each branch circuit and figure out where the current is going.
Amps * Volts = VA (not Watts technically, this equation may over estimate power/Watts usage a bit).

You could also look at Brultech. They have one that will monitor 32 circuits, and you can get a package deal with two different groupings of CTs. They also have a good website for help and ideas.
