PV wiring in conduit question

I am wiring up my last 4 panels to my combiner < 50' away. These amount to two strings of two panels each. I half way remember reading that each string should be isolated within its own conduit or would it be okay to combine both strings within one run of conduit?Â

They can share the conduit. Why don't you combine them before the conduit? You will need some sort of junction box in order to get from the PV wire to the THHN wire in the conduit... that junction box might as well be a combiner. Also, a combiner at the solar panels is a good place to put a lightning arrester.
