Interesting. I like these 9.5w Cree bulbs for $7.56. They are only at Home Depot because of a contract. I noticed the Philips bulb doesn't take on Cree's leading bulb

Be careful, most cheap bulbs can not be put in an enclosed fixture because of the intense temperature they operate at. And they won't tell you that until you read the fine print on the box.

even though still more costly, this is my favourite "family' of Phillips bulbs... I really like their quality of light .
