Running well pump and charge controller off panel array

I have a 1040W solar array that is running a deep well pump (Grundfos SolarFlex) and uses a max of 350W when it is running, which is not often. I'd like to harness that unused energy to run some power tools. The array voltage is 216V under load and 280V with no load. Can I run a charge controller and the pump in parallel off the array? What kind of problems might I expect with this arrangement?
