    Hmm, interesting idea. Although won't slowing evaporation in the west will lead to less rain in the mid west?

    Probably water conservation is a better solution.

    Strange as it may seem, trees save water, based on the shade they create...even though they use water to grow, the net effect is less water removed from the watershed. it's true...
