Saw this today while reading the comments. The one I'm talking about is in the upper right hand corner. I gotta hand it to those guys, that's a pretty smart way to do things. :D

    After Googling around, it appears that this is poor job of reporting.

    They are bringing panels and integrated battery packs+AC inverters to be installed at the homes in the region. The government of Turkey is subsidizing about 1/2 of the costs.

    The photos with the solar panels on the donkey(s) appear to be staged with same 1-2 people balancing the panel on top of the donkey. Perhaps started with a BBC report:

    lol, yeah, not surprising someone would get it wrong. But still that's kinda neat that they're doing that with the solar panels and off grid power for the villagers. :D
