Do these inverters require separate Charge controllers ? http://www.solar-electric.com/nexaxwseinan.html Or the built-in charge controller are enough ?

    The built in charger is meant to charge the batteries from Grid or Generator input. To charge the batteries from PV panels you have to have separate Charge Controllers.

    Not all models, but all the hybred grid tie capable models have a variation of it. You can take just about any Inverter that has AGS ( automatic generator start ) and fake it to use the grid as a generator with a transfer switch.

    Grid Zero is a Outback Inverter term, they use it as a Grid / Generator support term for load support in reverse. The Inverter carries the load and the Grid will help support a portion of the load that the Inverter can't.
