Saw a new controller available from Swiss manufacturer Studer: http://www.studer-inno.com/?cat=mppt_solar_charge_controller&id=2101&pId=2333&tab=2#ul
Specs look interesting, it has 2 independent MPPT trackers built in and you can wire the array as 2 sets of 600Voc, or a single series-wired 900Voc array. 5 year guarantee and programmable ground fault detection.

    It is stout, indeed. But, guess that they are not available for purchase in the US. Probably very expensive.
