Backtracking Algorithm

Dear all,


I am looking for the formula where we can calculate backtracking algorithm for solar tracking application. Please let me know where i can get formulas.

    NREL.gov has information/code for open loop solar tracking:

    Or, you can do a simple tracker using photo sensors to track the sun. Closed loop is frequently easier (the tracking hardware hardware, gears+mechanism, is less complex).
