Tax credit for multiple installs?

I spent about $3,000 on our PV system last year. I claimed the amount in my 2012 taxes to receive the 30% tax credit. I am thinking about expanding my system this year. Will I be permitted to receive the same credit in next year's taxes for the expansion?

Re: Tax credit for multiple installs?Yes............
that's a yes, but do not claim that which you had already previously claimed the prior year as you can't claim the same stuff twice. only claim the upgrade. -
Re: Tax credit for multiple installs?
Thanks for responding. It only makes sense that you should be able to benefit from the deduction if one desires to expand their PV system. Some extra solar panels would certainly come in handy to increase power production throughout the day.
