    Problem is "open circuit" is not the same as "at rest" so again it's not terribly accurate.

    right you are marc as there are 3 basic states with one being under load, the 2nd being no load and the 3rd is at rest which means it had many hours to settle in at a voltage. the last 2 apply to open circuit and by the looks of things it is looking much like an oversight on the author's case as they look in line with at rest voltage readings that might normally be attained for the average fla battery.
