    Well its almost a "new" design except for one small detail.
    A battery of that type has been in production in Brisbane Australia for I think about 5 yrs.
    Stanford are a little behind the times in trying to reinvent it.

    WESTBRANCH the only BZM batteries I have come across at work are Lithium ones.
    The company that makes the battery as shown in diagram is www.redflow.com .They are about the size of a small refrigerator. Ihave spent some time testiong one and they do work well. But expensive. Their main advantage over all other types of battery is they can be dischaeged to zero volts. And now problems.
